Welcome!
As the 21st century is launched it is a pleasure for me to have the Web site of Jamaica Service Program for Older Adults (JSPOA) on the same launching pad! This means that the progress from the 20th century will be supported by the 21st century’s growing world of technology as it is used to fulfill the vision, mission, and core values of an agency that has always be on the cutting edge of empowering older adults.

Senior Centers: Visit our senior centers where members hold key positions of leadership. This is a central reason why our centers are nationally accredited as centers of excellence by the National Council on Aging (NCOA) and the National Institute for Senior Center (NISC). Social Service: View the experienced and trusted support of social service staff as they answer important questions by our own social worker, Lucille ( “ASK Lucille” ). Senior Employment: Everyone benefits from working and feeling good about their contribution to society. Our Senior Employment Program does just that. Civic Engagement: This highly innovative project recognizes the value to the early and newly retiree who has so much to give in our community. See how you and people you know can use their acquired skills and experience to help and young people, assist in the work of a small agency and work to change systemic problems that affect the children and families of Southeast Queens.
