Foreclosure Specialist

There is a part-time position open at JSPOA reporting to the Director of the Safety Program. The Foreclosure Intervention Specialist will provide advocacy, counseling and outreach to older adults at risk of foreclosure in the Southeast, Queens area. The Specialist will be required to work occasional weekends and nights.

Qualifications:

• Effective problem solving abilities and mathematical capabilities.
• Ability to clearly communicate with others (verbally and written).
• Selected candidate will have excellent mediation/negotiation skills.
• The ideal person will be able to handle crisis situations and work well under pressure.
• He/she should be comfortable speaking in public and have good presentation skills.
