The Safety Department offers assistance to victims of violent crimes and elder abuse
in Southeast Queens. The Safety Department provides victim's assistance through
information and referrals based upon the victims needs, emergency financial assistance,
advocacy, repair and installation of home security devises, escorts to court, crisis
counseling and compensation claims assistance through the NYS Crime Victims
Board.The Safety Department also helps victims of Elder Abuse including physical abuse, financial exploitation, neglect and emotional and physiological abuse.
